VX Search 16.6.12 – File Search

VX Search is an automated, rule-based file search solution. It can search for files based on type, category, extension, name, regular expressions, location, size, and creation and modification dates. Additionally, it can search by last access dates, user, file attributes, and JPEG EXIF tags.

Users can categorize and filter search results, including copying, moving, or deleting them. Furthermore, they can generate multiple pie and bar charts and save reports in standard formats such as HTML, text, Excel CSV, and XML.

Frequently used file search operations can be pre-configured and saved as user-defined search profiles, allowing them to be performed automatically through the VX Search GUI application or via desktop shortcuts for single-click execution of search commands.

Power users and IT administrators benefit from advanced search capabilities, including the ability to search files across multiple servers and NAS storage devices simultaneously, automatic report generation, SQL database integration, and conditional notifications that send email alerts when a search operation finds a user-specified number of files.

Finally, VX Search Ultimate includes a command-line utility capable of executing user-defined search commands regularly. It utilizes the built-in Windows task scheduler to enable the periodic generation of search reports and automatic email notifications.
